In the Soundlabor the musicians of SSW combine electro sounds with acoustic sounds, and improvisations with through-composed arrangements to a varied mixture. The sound journeys offer lyrical-spherical moments as well as tonally free sound collages. When meeting Thomas Schröder, the trio will interact musically with his sound worlds in an improvisational way.
Giant Sweaters is the musician and ethnologist Thomas Schröder. The exploration of syntax, vocabulary and structure of unusual sound worlds is the main focus of Giant Sweaters. The aim is to decode the cosmic sounds of synthesizers and other sound generators and to reassemble their voices, recorded in 'field recordings' on cassettes, live.
