One of the French artist's ongoing research interests is in the biological and theological aspects of the cloud, which she stages and elaborates upon by means of experimental installations and films. In her performative lecture, Marie-Luce Nadal will undertake an intellectual journey that even seems philosophical, analogous to the fleeting forms of the cloud. Above all, she transfers the concept of clouds and the way their individual components combine to form a collective–a mass–to our society and its separate individuals.
In cooperation with the Chair of Art History at the University of Siegen, MGKSiegen is hosting a digital lecture series titled “The Clouds and the Cloud”, from November 5, 2020 to January 9, 2021. This string of lectures is accompanying the Museum's current exhibition with the same title. Exhibition artists, experts from academia along with professionals from the fields of art history, literature, visual arts, and design will be speaking about the subject of clouds.
All sessions are presented online.
